Honestly, I watched it when I was a teenager and thought it was hillarious, I tried watching it recently and I couldn’t sit through an episode. This stuff was already there in his writing, he can’t develop characters. He gets the “Monster of the week” thing in Who to an art form, but he can’t write characters at all, he writes tropes.
